| Cypress Industries Quadruples
Revenue While Demand for Electronics,
Plastics and Metal Manufacturing Soars |
|
| AUSTIN, TX, MAY 31, 2005—Cypress
Industries, an Austin-based electronics,
plastics and metal products manufacturer,
today announced record revenue growth
in 2004 and Q1, 2005, driven largely
by growth in its electronics business,
the launch of its Industrial Division
and new plastics and tooling manufacturing
capabilities. Additionally, the acquisition
of hundreds of new customers, combined
with substantial follow-on business
from existing customers, contributed
to a 400 percent increase in revenue
over 2003 and additional significant
increases in Q1, 2005. During the
period of January – May 2005,
Cypress Industries experienced nearly
50 percent growth over the same period
last year. |

2004 illustrates that customers realize

of technical prowess and problem solving
skills,” said Cypress Industries
CEO, Tom Lonsdale. “We've broadened
our customer base, introduced the
Industrial Division and added advanced
design, engineering and manufacturing
expertise to support the growing demand
from our customers. With a recent
space expansion and added capabilities,
we’re continuing on that same
growth trajectory in 2005.” |

| Fueled by the revenue growth, Cypress
Industries recently acquired additional
space adjacent to its original Pond
Springs Road headquarters. The company
currently occupies 14,500 square feet
of office and manufacturing space
which it uses to perform low- to moderate-volume
prototype and production runs before
transitioning products to its higher-volume
facilities in China. Cypress Industries
currently employs 18 full-time people
in its Austin facility and has plans
to hire an additional ten people —
five in Austin, and five in its China
sales office. |
