VP of Sales

Job Location: United States

Specific Responsibilities:

The VP of Sales leads and directs the sales team to meet or exceed corporate revenue targets. This VP of Sales is a member of the executive team and has both strong executive, management and sales leadership qualities. The VP of Sales:

  • Develops, motivates and manages a talented team of direct reports utilizing the Corporate Culture and procedures.
  • Advises the management team on progress with the execution of sales strategies and marketing plans.
  • Plans and prioritizes personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed quotas and business aims, including margins and sales dollars.
  • Handles select high-level strategic prospects on his/her own.
  • Plans and manages the company's sales team and business portfolio/territory according to an agreed market strategy.
  • Manages the sales team to:
    • Guide clients to hit commitments and deadlines and ASK for the business
    • Keep opportunity focus on customers that fit our business model and have agreed upon potential revenues
    • Hit sales quotas specific to their tenure
    • Manage product/service mix, pricing and product margins
    • Ensure the sales team responds to and follows up on sales RFQs quickly using agreed upon system
    • Ensure the sales team informs customers quickly of new required dates/ship dates when orders push
    • Achieve required face-to-face weekly/monthly visits
    • Grow with the knowledge of our product mix/company and assists them in improving their company pitch
  • Implements and monitors CRM/sales management software to provide required reporting to the management team.
  • Maintains relationships with high level customers.
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 Year College Degree
  • 10 years of Outside Sales experience in Electronics, Metals & Plastics
  • Ability to Travel when Required
  • Strong Technical Background in Electronics, Metals & Plastics.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills.

Job Location: United States

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain hard copy, electronic, and controlled records and documents including work instructions, procedures, process flowcharts, forms, etc.
  • Maintenance of historical records (manual and electronic): archiving of hard copy records
  • Process Nonconforming Material reports and retain associated documented information
  • Perform document control QC check of QMS documents
  • Maintain backups of logs and records
  • Manage document change control activities
  • Provide assistance for document research projects
  • Assist with assembling documentation packages for regulatory agencies such as Conflict Minerals, RoHS and REACH compliance
  • Internal Audit support as required

  • Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents.

  • Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident Card holder
  • Internal Auditor Certification a plus
  • Effective organizational skills

Job Location: United States

Military Spec Technician Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to interpret a drawing
  • Minimum of 3 months of cable, wire harness experience
  • Capable of using the tooling required for manufacturing wire and cable builds
  • Ability to use measuring tools in millimeters
  • Soldering skills (solder splices, solder shields, solder to the backshell)
  • Familiar with IPC 620 and Mil-Spec's

  • Knowledge on applying epoxy, RTV and sealants
  • Ability to interpret a wire list - VERY IMPORTANT!!

Production Technician will operate various items of machinery, learn several processes and use various types of hand and power tools in the assembling of parts that comprise our products in accordance with production drawings and documents.
Production Technician must be able to read and perform basic math calculations easily. Must be trainable on various machinery and trainable in various aspects of intricate production techniques. Must have strong general mechanical skills. Must be able to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail-oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality, keep accurate accounts of time and production, keep production on schedule, and maintain a safe working environment. Must be able to work with various personalities while maintaining cooperative working relationships.
Assist in reducing scrap and waste when possible.
Report to work on time, as assigned. Report back from breaks and lunch on time.
Production Technician is expected to maintain positive work relation with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
This employee will also be required to do any and all tasks deemed necessary by his/her supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to walk, sit and/or stand throughout an eight or ten-hour day.
  • Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts.
  • Must demonstrate good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must demonstrate good manual dexterity.
  • High School Education
  • Ability to read a print and follow direction
  • Ability to understand when a part is not conforming to the expected Quality

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to interpret a drawing

Job Location: United States

Skills:

  • Read/Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and other documents as required.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge

  • Inspect product to the required specifications: incoming, in-process and final.
  • Document all inspections on applicable inspection logs (excel).

  • 6 months prior QA experience, preferably in an electronics environment or 2+ years of hands on experience in manufacturing

IPC certifications, experience with cable/wire harnesses, experience with cable testers (Cirris, Cable Eye), or experience in inspection of injection molded plastics/metal products are preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Compensation is from $11-$13 depending on experience. Hours 7:30am-4:00pm M-F with some weekday and weekend overtime required.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day or strategic demands, needs, and requirements of the business for materials and services.
  • Works on specific performance commitments to drive supplier and commodity specific performance goals
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule from components and other expense items.  Determines method of procurement, such as purchase or bid.  Prepares Purchase Orders or Bid Requests
  • Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contract within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
  • Responsible for interacting with other areas dealing with defective goods and communicating with vendors on these issues.  Discusses defective or unacceptable goods and services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Initiates supplier improvement and process improvement within Cypress and its suppliers in order to achieve effective competitive supply chains.
  • Coordinates with suppliers and internal Quality team to ensure new suppliers and new product activities are properly addressed to enable maximum leverage of Cypress’ relationships.

Work with both Internal Accounting Department and with carriers to ensure best freight costs possible with the least amount of time.  Ensure that billings are handled properly so that either customers or suppliers are billed correctly.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years recent purchasing experience, preferred experience in wire and cable harness component procurement
  • International purchasing experience
  • Knowledge of computerized ERP systems
  • Understanding of customer drawings

Sales Representative


Job Location: Austin, Dallas & Houston Texas

Job Description: Cypress Industries is looking for the right individual to expand and support the needs of a diversified customer base including OEMs, contract manufacturers, telecom companies, industrial machinery companies, P.O.S. companies, gaming equipment companies as well as medical and military manufacturers. The Regional Sales Manager will assess customers needs and uses his/her advanced knowledge of Cypress products and services to meet those needs. The right candidate will have the ability to maintain contact of multiple customers to ensure their needs are served within the context of Company goals. Ideally the candidate will have experience working with contract manufacturers, good technical background, project management skills, and 5 plus years of direct sales experience. More specific duties will include:

  • Develop and implement business strategies and plans to secure new and existing business for strategic market growth, includes gaining entrance into new markets and customers.
  • Develop a territory/market annual sales plan.
  • Ensure Cypress is professionally represented in the industry and that Cypress meets the expected level of service, responsiveness and quality objectives of the customer. 
  • Utilize strong sales skills of engaging the prospect, asking key questions, and listening for opportunities.
  • Summarize needs, solutions, and values for the customer
  • Work collaboratively with the Internal Customer Service team in Austin to assist in the preparation of the quotation/bid package.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery within Company guidelines in order to maximize sales volume and margins.
  • Secure P.O./contract.
  • Follows up with Customer for periodic review of Cypress service levels.
  • Achieves the established sales growth objectives for the territory.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership. 

Location: We are looking to expand our business in the Houston and Dallas area. We are flexible with respect to home base of the candidates, but in order to have success in our industry, we expect close to a 50-50 split of physical time between our facility in Austin (working with your Cypress Team members) and either the Dallas or the Houston area.

Compensation & Benefits: Initial trial period of 90 days with base salary, after that employee will be eligible for annual bonuses. Includes standard medical and vacation plans.
