Austin, Texas - Cypress Industries is proud to announce that Tim O’Grady, our CFO, has been nominated and is now in the running for the Austin Texas area’s top chief financial officer award given by the Austin Business Journal. The winner will be chosen at a private ceremony in downtown Austin in July.

The Business Journal hands out the Best CFO Award to recognize the financial strategists who do far more than mind numbers. The panel moving Tim into the final stages of the process is looking for finalists that have a clear understanding of accounting and finance as core strength but in addition are looking for leaders who have a very deep understanding of the business and strategic and competitive position.

“Tim consistently displays the leadership that Cypress needs with respect to Accounting and Finance, as well as Human Resources. Tim has transformed the Department into a one that is willing to help and be supportive to each and every employee here and I am so happy to be a part of this team” says Brittnay Ables who started the nomination process back in March of this year.

"I operate a manufacturing firm that was only based in Austin when I hired Tim, and has since grown a global footprint. When we looked into opening up an International facility, Tim took the lead and worked many nights to interact with the appropriate people in India. We continue to grow here at Cypress and Tim keeps finding new ways to assist with this growth. While I interviewed Tim for the position of CFO, I unknowingly at the time hired Swiss Army Knife for our company" says Matt Conkey, President.
